Apprentice Bowl

Apprentice Bowl (2016)
Water-based acrylic and spraypaint
Dimensions: 28 x 7m

Painted as part of Waterford Walls mural festival, this artwork celebrates Waterford’s rich history of Crystal glass fabrication. The title for the piece and Waterford Crystal’s fabrication is explained in more detail here. Repeat patterns from Waterford Crystal’s archives and globules of molten glass dance around a human form in a state of momentary suspension, creating an artwork that maximises the extended landscape proportions of this building’s gargantuan gable.

Funding: Waterford County Council Curation: Waterford Walls Location: Celtic Squash Club, Waterford
